One Symphony Circle, Inc is a joint community and congregational initiative, with representation from First Presbyterian Church, Allentown Association, and a cross-sector of community members who recognize the historic building known as First Presbyterian Church as the community asset that it is.
Historic First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo, the first congregation in Buffalo, has been an integral part of the community since 1812 and is still serving as a functioning place of worship and community gathering place.
An oldie but goodie...
Here's a picture of First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo, NY taken in 1974 from Kleinhans Music Hall. What's different?
Because of proven support from community members such as you, New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation awarded $328,400 to be used toward complete repointing and restoration of the 163 foot E.B. Green designed church tower.
Preparation for this task is underway and major work is expected to begin in Spring 2019. Total project cost is expected to be nearly $438,000. This success was possible only because gifts to the annual appeal allowed us to cover the over $100,000 cost above the grant amount and prove to the State that the community strongly desires to see this historic structure preserved for future generations.
Again, our most sincere thanks!
